Our life is given to us only once. You can either take advantage of it or lose it, and after that, what remains is regret, regret, regret.
I often think about what the greatest punishment will be when death comes. It will be the punishment of regret. Imagine you have to go from here to the airport to catch a flight to the UK. You reach the airport and miss the flight, only to find out that the next flight is scheduled for tomorrow. At that moment, you experience a strange feeling that you were just a little late, and as a result, you can't go today; you'll have to go there tomorrow. Now, multiply that regret a billion times, a trillion times, and then you might understand the regret a person feels after death, thinking about the chance they lost. So, I often think that a person would say, "Mine was a case of missed opportunity." Once, I met a gentleman who was in government service. He had a degree but not a high qualification, so he got a lower position. There were also higher positions available, often vacant, but he couldn't apply because he wasn't qualified. He couldn't go back and study again. Talking about this, he said with great regret that life only comes once. You can either take advantage of it or lose it. So, our life is given to us only once. You can either take advantage of it or lose it, and after that, what remains is regret, regret, regret.
